Troon set for fireworks

THE annual firework display organised by Troon Round Table will be held this Saturday, November 5.

The big event will be held at North Shore Road, with the display starting at 7.30pm.

And there will be much more going on too, with Reid’s amusements funfair open from 4pm -9.30pm on the day.

The Round Table would like to thank a number of supporters for helping out with this year’s display.

They include: South Ayrshire Council, Destinatio­n South Ayrshire, Glenmavis Traffic Management, Hamilton Tarmac, George Leslie, Glennon Brothers, Midnight Storm Fireworks, Finesse Marquees, Reid’s Amusements

ABP Troon Port are providing parking facilities for a suggested donation of £2-£5 to their chosen charities (Whiteleys Retreat and Ayrshire Cancer Support) .

This parking will be available from 3.45pm and is approximat­ely a 16min walk to the funfair area.

There will be limited public parking facilities available on North Shore, Academy Street, Walker Hall and Titchfield Road,.

A Round Table spokespers­on said: “We also remind everyone that parking restrictio­ns will be enforced by Ayrshire Police Division in the walker avenue area and we would advise visitors to avoid these areas and use the ferry terminal or some of the other alternativ­es listed above.

“We have made these plans with everyone’s safety in mind please help us to make this year’s event a success by planning your journey to make the night enjoyable for all”
