HURLFORD suffered a shock home defeat to Camsbuslan­g Rangers in the West of Scotland Football League Premier Division at the weekend.

Brennan scored the only goal of the game on the hour mark.

The 1-0 victory for Cambuslang saw Darvel, who beat Petershill 2-1, regain top spot.

In an all Ayrshire clash, Largs Thistle defeated Troon by 1-0. It proved to be a tight clash with Largs taking the points thanks to a very late winner from McGoldrick.

Irvine Meadow got a good win away to Pollok, with a 2-0 victory. It was a very decent performanc­e by Medda who won thanks to goals from Callum Graham and Bryan Wharton, making it four wins in a row for the club, who now move to sixth place.

And Auchinleck Talbot found their form again, with a 3-1 home victory against old rivals Glenafton.

The Glens took an early lead, but Talbot hit back with goals from Samson,

Wardrope and finally Shankland.

Beith Juniors defeated Clydebank by 2-0 to take them to third place in the Premier Division.

They took the lead with a goal from Paul Frize in the first half, but went down to 10 men in the second when Danny O’Neill was sent off.

Josh Fowler scored a second for Beith to ensure their victory.

In the WOSFL First Division, Kilbirnie Ladeside lost 3-1 away to Thorniewoo­d United.

A goal by McClair saw Thorniewoo­d take a 1-0 lead by half time. Kilbirnie’s Scully scored from the spot in the second half to level the scores, but two more goals from Thorniewoo­d secured the points for them.

And Whitletts Victoria lost 3-2 away to Bonnyton Thistle.

Bonnyton took a first half lead which lasted just minutes before Jordan Boyd levelled.

Ten minutes later, it was Bonnyton 2 Vics 1.

Vics rallied and levelled the scored on the 68th minute as Jamie Henderson hit the back of the net.

But an 82nd minute goal from Bonnyton’s Henderson saw them take the points.

The second division ties at the weekend saw Ardeer Thistle record a good 4-2 away win against Yoker Athletic.

Maybole Juniors saw out a 2-2 home draw against Kilsyth Rangers, while the Muirkirk v Wishaw match was postponed.

In the Third Division, Newmains United defeated Saltcoats Vics 4-1.

Irvine Victoria got a decent 3-1 win away to Port Glasgow.

But in-form Ardrossan Winton Rovers suffered a 4-2 defeat at home to Lugar Boswell Thistle.

Girvan saw out a 1-1 draw away to Vale of Leven and Kello Rovers recorded a 3-2 win over Royal Albert.

In the fourth division, Kilwinning’s Eglinton got a decent 4-3 win at home to Glenvale.
