View to a Killie gig this Friday

-

Two last- minute gigs from boisterous Scots rockers The View frontman Kyle Falconer head up another top week of gigs in Ayrshire.

The curly- haired songster plays two acoustic gigs, performing crowd favourites from the Dundee band’s back catalogue, at Kilmarnock’s Bakers Niteclub on Friday night.

And on Saturday, Caithness rockers Neon Waltz – profiled in last week’s Ticket – hope to kick off a big year with a show in the same venue.

Folk fans will be in for a treat when Kirkcaldy duo Alan Mackenzie and Bryan McArthur perform at the Queens Hotel in Girvan, thanks to the Girvan Folk Club.

Kilmarnock’s Bellfield Tavern will be jumping once again with music from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Carpets, a tribute to the Oasis frontman, on Friday night.

And on Saturday, the crowd will enjoy some milk and alcohol with The Feelgoodz, a tribute to legendary rockers Dr Feelgood.

All of this, plus shows from some of the county’s top regulars and your chance to take to the stage at a host of open mics, make for another top week of live music in Ayrshire.
