Talented Twin Heart will blow you away with their debut EP

-

Top Ayrshire rockers Twin Heart release their debut EP, Progress: Decline, on Friday – and it more than lives up to the hype.

We got an exclusive first listen to the release from the three- piece and were blown away by the talent on show.

Across five tracks recorded at Dundee’s Seagate Studios, Dawn Baxter, Murray Baxter and Owen Burt show why they are one of the county’s most hotly tipped bands.

Suffocating, the first single released from the EP, showcases lead singer Dawn’s powerful vocals alongside frenetic backing from drummer Murray and bassist Owen.

Following on from the opener, the first half of the record doesn’t slow down any as the trio tear through tracks.

And the rhythm section get their chance to shine on instrumental track Progress, slotted almost half way through the record.

But it’s on closer Speak To Me that the band really shine, with all three members coming together for a stunning tour de force of their melodic, emotional rock sounds.

Twin Heart formed after Mechanical Smile broke up, and over the last 18 months they have achieved success that rivals the much heralded band which came before.

And with Progress: Decline, the trio show that they could be on the way to even bigger and better things given the impressive talents on show. The EP is released through Rip It Up Records on Friday, July 1.

You can catch the band live at the official EP launch show – with free entry – tonight ( Wednesday) at Harley’s in Ayr, at 7pm.
