Top names in traditional music set to storm stage in Ayrshire

-

Traditional music fans are in for a treat with two top names set for the stage this summer.

Brandon McPhee, a 19- year- old old accordion sensation from Caithness, is first up as he makes his Ayrshire debut on Thursday, July 7.

The All Scotland Accordion Champion is accompanied at Ayr Town Hall by his six piece country band and “Scotland’s son of fun” Eddie Rose.

He has sold out venues around the country and earned international acclaim for his performances - with comparisons to country star Billy Ray Cyrus and the legendary Elvis Presley.

Young star Brandon promises an evening of bonnie tunes from The Flying Scotsman to jigs and reels that will get the crowd on their feet.

And after that, Irish traditional star Hugo Duncan and special guests Gary Gamble, Box Car Brian and Joe Moore bring an unmissable night of Irish country music to Ayr Town Hall in September.

BBC broadcaster Hugo will perform his signature toe- tapping, hand- clapping, sing- a- long set on Saturday, September 3.

The Radio Ulster man has won fans around the world with his song Dear God, and had audiences on the Emerald Isle rolling in the aisles with his hilarious impersonations through charity work with Children In Need in Northern Ireland.

Tickets for both shows are on sale now, and are available from www. thegaiety. co. uk, on 01292 288235 or from the box office.
