Heat turned up on the fly

SPRINGWATER FISHERY Fly loch has been fishing harder due to the warm weather.

Some of the catches: Alex Anderson c/ r seven, Lisa Anderson c/ r two, Woody c/ r four, Ian Crossan c/ r five including a brownie of 10lb 8oz, Davie Galloway c/ r seven, George c/ r seven, Jim Watson c/ r four including a 4lb brownie, Jim Faulkner three for 8lb 12oz, Mr Johnston two for 6lb 8oz, Peter Blackman three for 12lb, Tam one for 5lb 4oz, Brian two for 8lb, John Martin c/ r five.

Bait loch: Tam Harvey three for 11lb, Gary Wylie two for 6lb, John Allerdyce three for 9lb 2oz, N Russell two for 7lb 2oz, J Russell one for 4lb 4oz, Sophie one for 2lb 10oz, E Judd one for 4lb.

Coarse continues to fish well. Winner of the JB Angling competition was Nigel Faulds with 28lb. Second was Ewan with 13lb 7oz, third was Ross Black 10lb 15oz.

George Radburn caught a cracking 18lb 6oz mirror carp. His wife Donna also got a double of 10lb 3oz.

The coarse loch is still producing good catches of roach and carp.
