Executive role for chef Iain

-

He is dedicating his career to his culinary art.

At just 29, Iain Conway has been promoted to Executive Head Chef at Lochgreen House Hotel.

Iain has been handed the elevated role after coming to the much- loved Troon retreat as head chef four years ago.

He’s in charge of a brigade of 15 chefs and two porters within the Lochgreen kitchen.

His astonishing food maintains AA three red rosettes for the hotel, which has reached the standard for the past 15 years.

The rating equals the highest in the county.

Iain, who is from Prestwick, said: “I am proud of the team I have built around me and the goals I have achieved.

“I continually strive to create exciting new recipes and mouth watering dishes.”

He was held aloft by some of his team last week to mark the retention of the three red rosettes.

Chef Conway began at the Lochgreen’s sister hotel Brig o’Doon as a 16- year- old.

His skills were later honed at the Michelin Star restaurants Roussilan in Chelsea and Midsummer House in Cambridge before he returned home.

Iain’s favourite dishes are firmly seafood and game.

Only 10 per cent of restaurants have three red rosettes and above.

Lochgreen is classed as “outstanding” and “achieves standards that demand recognition well beyond their local area.”
