Now Marr’s destiny is in their own hands

-

Title- chasing Marr step up their bid for promotion to the BT Premiership on Saturday knowing that their fate is in their own hands.

With six games to go, the Fullarton men are six points clear of second- placed Edinburgh Accies in National League One.

And Marr’s points differential is 83 better off.

After two weeks off, Marr return with a trip to fourth top Falkirk, one of four away games in a tough run- in.

The following weekend they host Aberdeen Grammar and will be keen to rack up a bonus win.

March brings back to back trips to the borders to face Selkirk and third top Jed- Forest and these could well be season defining.

Marr then close against Musselburgh at home on March 25 before ending the league campaign away to GHA on April 1.

Edinburgh Accies finish with three home and three away games.

Their closing fixtures are: Stewart’s Melville FP ( a), Howe of Fife ( h), Hamilton ( a), Dundee HSFP ( h), Falkirk ( a) and Aberdeen Grammar ( h).

Marr College under 16s were in high scoring form as they beat Glasgow High School 34- 10.

Saturday’s fixtures: 1s away v Falkirk; 2s away v GHA; 3s home v Waysiders/ Drumpellier 2s.

CARRICK have finished their BT West Division One campaign in pole spot with 66 points. But they are set to be overtaken by Newton Stewart who trail by two points with two games in hand.

CUMNOCK host Clydebank in West Division Two.
