Positive vibes out in the sun

-

Hello folks I hope you’re well and feeling good! At the time of writing it’s lovely, sunny and warm and I’m just loving it!

Bandwagon, the live music event at Ayr’s Soundmagic Studios , has released news about bands and performers for its gig on Saturday, 29th July. With its community spirit and laidback attitude it’s not hard to see why so many enjoy the events.

Soundmagic Studios on Waggon Road in Ayr is a great wee place and it’s fantastic to see a real community of musicians and music fans band around it.

Performers at the next Bandwagon night include The Ranzas, Pelikan Rogue, The Ronains, The Rebellions, Sisterkind, The Fix, Dogs of Raw, Smeekered, Take The World, Vendetta, Second Suns, Bittersweet Blasphemy, Megalomatic, Throughout Without, Get Out Strong, Royal Bloom, Jason Currie, Jamie Cooper, JJ Haris, Connor McGuire and I’ll be doing a wee turn too. The night kicks off at 7pm and entry is £ 5.

The community music spirit continues with news that Prestfest ( August 4- 6) has released its line up for the e Prestwick festival which goes from strength to strength next year. Great for music fans and musicians, it must be e incredible business for the pubs involved as the place is absolutely hoaching for the full weekend. Performers include Glasgow’s Ezperanza, Savalas, Kinks Experience, Cherry Red 53, Able Baker, Memphis, Long Day Living, Dumb Instrument, Soldier On, Zulu, James McKay, Ken O’Hara, Big Gav McCulkin, Stone Pony, Brothers, The Cairds, The Misses, Calum Frame, Steel Valley Saints.

Irvine held a series of events last weekend to celebrate the Scottish Open. With live music throughout t the Harbourside the area was filled full of goings on. Although the weather could have been kinder it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves.

The event was headlined by some impressive fireworks and showed just how enjoyable it can be to spend a day by the Harbourside, which has come on so much in recent years.

I had a really positive experience this week as I managed to find a free piano online using Facebook Marketplace. Having been on the lookout for one for some time I was over the moon to find the kind owners were happy for me to have it. Thanks to Enuice and Jamie, I will look after her and pour my heart into some brand new recordings that I will let you hear very soon.

There are always instruments and music accessories available online and it’s amazing how easy it can be to pick up a good deal locally if you look hard enough. Thanks again to Enuice and Jamie for making my day.
