BOWLS ROUND- UP
The 85th Ayr Bowling Tournament got off to a wet start on Monday with 96 mixed pairs playing at various clubs in Ayr.
The mixed pairs and junior pairs final is on Wednesday at 6pm at Craigie.
Mixed pairs semi - finals: C Barbour &C John st onv AH a milton& R Dempsey; A& C McMillan vG McKinlay & A Lamont.
Tuesday saw the start of the ladies and gents singles which continue on Wednesday at Northfield. Junior pairs also started on Tuesday and continue at Northfield on Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday sees the start of the ladies, gents pairs and junior singles at Northfield and Craigie. Saturday format is semi finals at 10am and finals at 1pm at Northfield.
Entries are being taken for the Tommy Campbell Memorial Cup over 55 singles. Entries to the tournament office by Thursday at 8pm.
Newton Park are bidding to make it a double show in the junior singles when the Ayrshire women’s finals take place next week.
Louise Noon takes on Stacey Wyllie ( Darvel) in one semi while Dawn Anderson meets Laurel Murdoch ( Kilwinning) in the other.
The semi finals take place at Dundonald on Monday with the finals at Galston on Tuesday.
