The closing date for the next round of applications to “North Carrick Decides” is Friday, September 8.

Groups with projects that require support up to £ 2000 have been invited to apply to this round.

They were also told that if projects would benefit from more funding a second round will take place later in the year for bids of up to £ 10,000. Groups were told they would not be eligible to apply to both rounds so they were asked to prioritise their projects.

However, some extra funding has become available and groups are now able to apply this month for up to £ 2000 and to a further round in a few months’ time for up to £ 10,000 as long as it is for a different project; and the really good news is no match funding is required for the latter as it is now automatically match funded for them.

More details of this new funding will be announced next week and this news is to let organisations know in time for the September deadline.

The event will take place in Maybole Town Hall on Saturday, September 30 from 10am to 2pm projects will need to fit with at least one of the following criteria... • Address social isolation • Communication • Transport and access to facilities, activities and services

• Make a dementia friendly society • Opportunities for youth Details from Marion. young@ south- ayrshire. gov. uk
