Little Sophie is our newest healthy puppy

-

Sadly, a large number of people whose dogs display behavioural problems do so because they are simply not a good fit for the household.

Too many times we see energetic adolescent dogs being dumped in rescue because they are too much to handle or need too much exercise or a small dog treated like a baby who bites everyone who comes near him, or the elderly couple who adopt an energetic adolescent when they could have rescued a gentle senior instead.

Yes, rescue centres do their best to help match people and dogs and yes there are home checks and forms to complete but rescues are usually under staffed, under- funded and under pressure a great deal of the time and too many times it is the dog who suffers.

For this reason I offer a free matchmaking session to anyone anywhere who is thinking of adding a dog to their household.

I personally don’t have the dogs but I can help you decide on the best breed, type, age and nature of dog best suited to you and your family.

Remember a dog is for life and that means the whole of his life so he has to be able to roll along with you throughout your life together and whatever that brings.

Every dog returned to rescue for whatever reason is a dog let down - every puppy passed from pillar to post because he is untrainable; is a dog let down. If you would like a free matchmaking session to help decide which type of dog is right for you before you commit to a puppy or a dog then please contact me via the form on the website.
