It’s another fantastic weekend of gigs in the pubs, clubs and halls of Ayrshire.

Leading the way, of course, is this week’s Ticket cover story with Live@ Troon festival taking with headline acts at the Concert Hall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and a great selection of free fringe events.

Elsewhere, Freckfest bring Wonder Stuff frontman Miles Hunt and Erika Nockalls to Irvine’s Harbour Arts Centre.

And it’s a double header at the harboursid­e, as Plan B bring folk hero Sharon Shannon back to Ayrshire on Saturday night for what’s sure to be a fantastic night.
