English eyes on Troon goal star

Jimmy Kirkwood faces competitio­n from England to hold on to one of Troon’s top prospects.

Former Kilmarnock striker Scott McLean, who has been courted by Burnley, spent last week on trial with Middlesbro­ugh Under 23s.

The 20- year- old. who made his first team debut for Killie against Celtic two years ago, returned to hit a double for Troon in a 4- 1 win away to Largs.
