Catching it big on the fly loch

SPRINGWATER FISHERY Fly loch continues to produce some big fish.

Some catches are: Graham Bicket c/ r 12, Rab Miller c/ r 12, John Brown c/ r nine ( second visit), Gary Young eight c/ r including a 12lb 8oz rainbow, Derek Russell seven c/ r, Big Alex six c/ r inclusing a 16lb brownie and a 5lb rainbow, Jacky Baillie three c/ r including 9lb brownie and 7lb rainbow, John Brown c/ r five ( first visit), Jacky Baillie c/ r three ( first visit), Alan Connelly 14lb brownie.

Bait loch catches: Davie Kernachan three for 9lb 4oz, Davie McKie three for 7lb 12oz, Mr Lawrie two for 5lb, N Russell two for 5lb, John Allerdyce four for 8lb 4oz, wee Brian three for 7lb.

Coarse loch quiet again. Those who braved the weather caught roach and rudd and bream.

Springwater new winter fly offer: all day catch and release, Monday to Friday, adults £ 10 and under 16s only £ 5. BURNS TROUT FISHERY The P/ O Angling Club visited and caught 17 fish.
