BRIDGE

The Ayrshire Bridge Union heat of the Celtic simultaneous pairs saw a win for Angela Knox and Eddie McGeough when scored locally.

However, similar to the last simultaneous pairs where they were again first, their percentage plummeted when scored nationally.

Stewart Duguid and Stewart Pinkerton were the highest placed Ayrshire pair overall, sitting in 22nd position.

The Scottish Swiss pairs approaches – on Sunday, May 13 this year at Ayr Academy, enter on the Scottish Bridge Union website for this.

Also in May is the Munro cup, for players below the rank of Master on Friday 25 at 1.30pm.
