Wedding of the week
Laura McDermott and Robert Calderwood
The couple
Laura McDermott, 28- year- old primary school teacher originally from Ireland married 38- year- old electrical estates officer Robert Calderwood from Dalmellington.
The couple have lived with each other in Ayr for the past seven years. Their story
“It was quite a few years ago when our paths first crossed at a night out with mutual friends,” said Laura.
She continued: “We had dinner in Elliots and Robert even missed the mid- week Rangers game, in favour of a date with me – he must have been very keen.
“However, it has to be said that on their
journey together in the car, he was slightly distracted by listening to the radio in the car for the score!”
The wedding
The couple tied the knot on June 30 last year at the Seamill Hydro Hotel in West Kilbride.
