Thug who terrified mum jailed
an abusive son is behind bars for terrorising his mother.
Craig provan turned up at his mum gillian’s home, banging on the windows on april 18, ayr sheriff Court heard last week.
Depute fiscal Jason Bell said provan’s mother told him he was not wanted at the house in Westport, tarbolton, because of his behaviour in the past. Mr Bell said provan was muttering to himself and began searching through cupboards after gaining entry. after he left Ms provan locked the door but the accused returned and started pummeling the window to get in. He was swearing.
On getting inside he went to the bedroom and rummaged through the cupboards again. Ms provan phoned the police.
Mr Bell said: “the accused stated he would slash someone.”
the fiscal said he was aggresive and constantly talking. He was cautioned and charged but made no reply. provan admitted attending the address uninvited, shouting, swearing, acting in an erratic manner and repeatedly refusing to leave. solicitor glenn Davis said his client was on street Valium at the time. sheriff Desmond leslie sentenced homeless provan to four months in prison.
