Text pest told to stay away from his ex
A demanding ex bombarded his former girlfriend with messages, ordering her to chauffeur him around.
At 3.30am, Ryan Shaw fired off demands to Lisa Baird that she drive to Muirkirk and ferry him to Ayr. She eventually gave in.
The 28- year- old harassed her between February 5 and 18, Ayr Sheriff Court heard last week.
For a period Shaw, of Wellwood Street, Muirkirk, was blocked from contacting Ms Baird.
Depute fiscal Lindzi Bayne said: “She felt relieved there was no contact.”
But Shaw managed to get through again by phone.
He also sent her a Facebook message. She did not reply but he persisted with another message.
Appearing at Ayr Sheriff Court last week, Shaw admitted contacting her through texts, Facebook and telephone calls and demanding to be collected and driven to different locations in South Ayrshire.
He also pled guilty to shouting, swearing, threatening to harm her and threatening to assault police officers with a weapon.
Solicitor Glenn Davis said his client had been taking street Valium and his behaviour was “poor” during that time.
The court imposed an order barring him from going near Ms Baird for two years.
Shaw must also take part in the Caledonian Project domestic abuse programme and undergo two years of community supervision.
