First responders return
Troon First Responders are back on the road.
There was a period when the Scottish Ambulance Service was not alerting the responders to emergencies after a shift in policy.
Now the volunteers who aim to get to doors first are back on the job.
Ambulance control are now using a radio pager to dispatch the TFR car and Halfords in Irvine have given them a new sat nav.
First Responder chairman Ian Johnson said: “The sat nav has up- to- date mapping and voice recognition programming of addresses so will be a huge benefit.” The group aim to run a CPR training day at Ivy Cottage.
