In­ner Wheel raise cash to sup­port den­tists around the world

Gir­van In­ner Wheel Club hosted an In­ter­na­tional Even­ing last month, rais­ing money for char­ity across the globe.

The group gath­ered in Gir­van South Par­ish Church Hall and raised £ 200 for Bridge 2 Aid.

The char­ity aim to help the poor­est com­mu­ni­ties in the de­vel­op­ing world by strength­en­ing health­care sys­tems.

The or­gan­i­sa­tion send UK vol­un­teers to train lo­cal health­care work­ers in the pro­vi­sion of emer­gency den­tal treat­ment.

This en­ables peo­ple to work, at­tend school and care for fam­i­lies free from the mis­ery of den­tal pain and dis­ease.

As well as en­joy­ing a lovely sup­per pro­vided by mem­bers, the club were en­ter­tained by May­bole Con­cert Party.

The group of eight ladies showed great tal­ent with a med­ley of songs, danc­ing and hu­mour and helped to make the even­ing a very en­joy­able and suc­cess­ful one.

The In­ner Wheel Club of Gir­van would to thank Ruth Wal­lace, In­ter­na­tional Com­mit­tee Chair­man, who or­gan­ised the event.
