Gala Day planning ongoing
Planning for the 2018 Muirkirk Gala Day is well under way with the Gala and the annual Classic Car Show sharing the Kames Connections banner as a result of the two events occupying the same weekend and location.
Once again Kames Motorsport Complex is the chosen venue, offering excellent access, free onsite parking, modern toilet facilities and firm underfoot conditions.
The Gala Day will be held on Saturday, June 9, with the car show the following day which should benefit both attractions as the tents and many of the amenities will remain in place.
The Gala Day Committee have been busy fundraising in recent months with an Easter Hunt for the children, a Psychic Night for Adults and on Friday, May 25, comes a Beetle Drive at 7pm in the Muirkirk Bowling Club.
The following children have been chosen for the Gala Court: Gala Queen – Louise Ward; Herald – Kyle Sharp; Lady In Waiting – Rianna Russell; Page Boy – James Wyllie; Junior Page – Sam Wallace; Junior Maid – Kaelah Lockwood
A full programme of activities are planned by the Gala Day officials and the success of last year should ensure many visitors are attracted from surrounding areas.
Stand details and other information are available on the Muirkirk Gala Day Facebook page.
