Football fans can take a trip back in time as Isosceles Theatre Company presents On Our Way to Lisbon at Cumnock Town Hall on Thursday, May 31.

Described as ‘ a two- man play with a cast of thousands’, On Our Way to Lisbon tells the story of the 1967 European Cup, when Celtic became the first British team to win the trophy with a famous victory over the mighty Inter Milan.

Written by Patrick Prior and directed by Jim Dunk, join two fans as they recreate how the Bhoys in green and white beat the team who were hailed as unbeatable.

Actors Pat Abernethy and Dave Marsden play all of the characters – players, crowds, commentators and managers – in a masterpiece of story- telling, including some hilarious slow- motion sequences.

The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets, £ 10/£ 8, are available from eastayrshireleisure.com, Cumnock Town Hall on 01290 421028.
