Ayrshire Post - - Memory Lane -

A blonde’s long hair extensions were pulled out during a catfight in Prestwick.

The brawl erupted outside Elliots and again at the town’s train station during a night out in the town.

On leaving Elliots, Rebecca Charnley, 23, lunged at Laura McColm grabbing her by the locks and tried to boot her. She grabbed Laura’s hair again and pulled her head from side to side.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran nursing assistant Charnley belted Chloe McColm on the face causing her lip to bleed at the train station.

Depute fiscal Jason Bell told Ayr Sheriff Court: “The accused followed Laura McColm grabbed her by the hair, pulled her down and attempted to kick her.”

Mr Bell described how she then grabbed Laura’s hair once more and pulled her head from side to side, pulling out hair extensions.

Describing what Charnley did next, Mr Bell said: “The accused caught up with Chloe McColm and struck her on the face causing her lip to bleed.” The court heard the fight in May last year erupted over a man.

Sheriff Mhairi Mactaggart admonished Charnley when she appeared on May 2.
