20 years on – we’re bigger and better
Without the lovely support of all of our customers we would not have been able to get to were we are today.
We have been fortunate to celebrate two anniversaries in recent times – Cecchini’s Ayr was 20 years old in November last year and Cecchini’s Ardrossan celebrated its 10th birthday a few weeks ago on April 20.
Cecchini’s Ayr opened its doors on November 20, 1997.
Starting off as a busy, small 30- seater restaurant, we were fortunate enough to benefit from great trade over the years and in 2007 we bought the premises next door.
Our 30- seater restaurant became a 100seater dining experience with a warm, modern, sleek and Italian interior.
Moreover, we are greatly appreciative of our wonderful staff who have worked with us over the years.
Francis McGrady and David Walker in particular, have been working with us since the day we first opened, and thanks to manager Andrew Harrop for his hard work and dedication to the company throughout the years.
Cecchini’s Ardrossan has gone from its previous life as a Pump House and renovated to become a beautiful 200seater venue with a stunning outside seating terrace, a bistro and restaurant with function space too.
On April 20, 2008, it opened its doors
and has become a part of the community ever since.
The very successful venue has enjoyed great trade from local residents from all over North Ayrshire and beyond and, of course, passers- by on their way to the ferry to Arran.
To celebrate the 10th birthday we hosted a fun day with all of our wonderful customers coming along.
There was a bouncy castle, giant Jenga, face painting, a barbecue on the terrace and a live singer and DJ at night.
We ended our celebrations with a fantastic firework display at the marina – special thanks to everyone who came along to celebrate with us.
It was a very special way for us to celebrate our anniversary with the people who have supported us.
A huge thank you to our wonderful customers who have supported Cecchini’s over the years – here’s to the next 10!
