Shona Innes and Bryan Forsyth
THE COUPLE
Shona Innes, a 42- year- old assistant accountant with East Ayrshire Council, married 46- year- old automation engineer with Key FM Bryan Forsyth.
The pair are both born and bred in Prestwick.
THEIR STORY
Shona said: “Bryan and I have known each other for many years.
“When I was 16 and Bryan was 20 we dated for a while, eventually going our separate ways for another 15 years. We met up again in 2007 and started dating again.”
THE WEDDING
The couple got married on Saturday, September 23 last year at The Savoy Park Hotel in Ayr.
Shona said the ‘ weather was perfect’ and it was ‘ a dream day’.
She added: “It was honestly – apart from the birth of our children – the next best day of our lives.
“I put so much hard work in on the lead up to it, and seeing it all pay off on the day was amazing.
“Everyone had a ball and the staff at the Savoy Park honestly couldn’t have done any more for us if they tried.
ATTIRE
The bride wore a Stella York Essence of Australia ball- gown style dress from Diane Honeyman.
The groom wore his own kilt in Forsyth tartan.

HONEYMOON
Shona and Bryan celebrated being newlyweds with eight nights in Orlando, Florida.
“Without the kids,” laughed Shona.
“We took a bit of a ribbing for that one!”

Shona said: “I had a lovely pastel coloured bouquet with lots of pink and ivory roses – they were lovely.”

The couple opted for a four- tiered wedding cake which was baked by family member Anne McLeod.
