Fitness family take on 1000km
A super fit family have set themselves the challenge of running, walking, swimming and ski- ing 1000km to raise funds for charity.
The Clark family are coining cash for Parkinson’s UK after dad Stewart, of Prestwick, has been living with the disease since 2008.
The team has taken part in many walks, runs and other events this year for the charity.
And are also looking to raise funds for the Ayrshire Young Parkinson’s Group - a support group which provides information, friendship and support to Ayrshire people with Parkinson’s Disease, their families and carers.
Paloma Casas said: “As a family we have seen at first hand the impact Parkinson’s has.
“We know how vital it is that people with Parkinson’s and their families get the best possible support in living with the condition.
“It’s heart- warming that people continue to be so generous and we thank everyone for their support.”
Jan Mattison, Wes t Scotland Regional Fundraiser for Parkinson’s UK, said: “It’s fantastic that the Clarks are going again for Parkinson’s UK.
“It’s only through the amazing efforts of people like them and the generosity of their supporters that we can deliver the local services that are so important for people affected by Parkinson’s.
“We’ re particularly delighted that they are supporting our fabulous new Ayrshire Young People with Parkinson’s Group.
“Support like this means the group can grow and provide even more activities for local folk of working age who are living with Parkinson’s.
“We thank the whole Clark family for their fantastic efforts.”
