The Dolls are back with show full of laughter

A night with the scrubbers

Ayrshire Post - - The Ticket -

Scotland’s favourite scrubbers The Dolls are back with a brand new show – and they’ll have you rolling in the aisles.

The show comes to The Gaiety in Ayr for four days between October 17 and 20 and the Palace Theatre on October 26.

The Dolls are in town as it features Gayle Telfer Stevens ( River City) and Louise McCarthy ( Scot Squad).

This time around, the tan has barely faded from Agnes and Sadie’s thick skin and they’re in trouble again – and left lip- synching for their lives.

Missing money, an unlucky handbag and a run- in with gangsters are just a few of the disasters they’ll have to dodge as the girls are dragged through a glittering underworld filled with rivalries, rhinestones and rammies in this camp, crazy adventure of queen- sized proportions. Mistaken identities and secret disguises abound in this highly anticipated sequel.

Will the gallus gals be able to keep up with who’s who? Will long- brewing family resentments be resolved? Will The Dolls solve the mystery of the missing dug and, most importantly, will their dormant 1980s’ disco dancing dan skills save them fro from The McKray twins, Scotland’s fruitiest gangsters?

Why not round up your pals, head along and find out?

The Dolls ‘ Dragged Up’ begins at 7.30pm each night at the Gaiety and 5pm at the Palace Theatre.

Tickets are available from The Gaiety ( tel: 01292 288235) or Palace Theatre ( tel: 01563 554900).

Not suitable for the fainthearted or under 16s.
