Workshops set to help companies

A comprehensive programme of events is set to help business owners across Ayrshire develop their companies.

Business Gateway’s workshops provide expert advice to help companies at every stage of their development.

At the sessions, new and existing business owners can learn about important areas such as human resources, finding new premises and exporting.

There is also a focus on topics such as business planning, marketing, finance, e- commerce and intellectual property, amongst others.

Workshops over the coming weeks include:

· Presenting with Confidence - October 30 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Learn how to speak with confidence and conviction about your business.

Establish your key messages, capture the attention of your audience and convert them to your point of view. ( Ayr)

· The Changing Face of Retail and How to Survive it - November 1 from 5pm to 8pm.

Gain an advantage in the changing retail landscape. With the multiples pulling out of many high streets and the internet share of the market increasing, how does the small business compete. ( Dreghorn)

· Intro to Podcasting November 5 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. This is an introductory workshop aimed at people who are interested in creating a podcast for their business or appearing as guests on other people’s podcasts. ( Kilmarnock)

· Write Results - Business Writing For the 21st Century – November 12 from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. ( Irvine)
