Time to take a bow and display your excellence
The Business Excellence Awards 2019 are now open.
This prestigious accolade recognises and rewards those Small and Medium enterprises based throughout Ayrshire who are committed to excellence and following a path of continuous improvement.
The award is free to enter and open to any company with less than 250 employees in manufacturing, social enterprise or the service industry, with the winners being announced at the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner to be held at Trump Turnberry on March 8, 2019.
Nicola Sykes, Project Executive, Business Excellence Ayrshire, explained: “The Business Excellence Award is not only a prestigious award, but also a hugely beneficial process for your business.
“The unique application process requires you to evaluate your own business and performance.
“They may not realise it, but there are many businesses doing things without considering what they are doing is actually considered as excellent in a formal setting.”
So, if your business is following a path of continuous improvement or quality programmes, why not enter?
The fundamental concepts of excellence can be recognised in top performing organisations be they large or small, for profit or not for profit.
While the labels that are attached to these can sometimes be off putting, there is no doubting the value to the business.
Previous winners of Business Excellence have included; The Cook School Scotland, Begg Scotland, Woodward Aircraft Engine Systems ( Prestwick), Browning the Bakers, South Beach Holdings ( Scotland) Ltd, William Tracey Group, Ashleigh ( Scotland) Ltd, ANCHO Ltd and most recent winners Opus Couture and LMA Architects.
