FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2 BBC SCOTTISH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA conducted by Richard Farnes, 7.30pm, Ayr Town Hall, will play two overtures by Rossini and three operatic arias sung by Victoria Simmonds ( an alteration to the published programme as Christine Rice is indisposed), and Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 6 ‘ Pathetique’ after the interval. Tickets at the door: Circle £ 25; Stalls, adults £ 20; students £ 5; School pupils £ 3. Part of the 32nd Ayr Concert Series, this concert is arranged for South Ayrshire Council by volunteers from Ayr Arts Guild.
