Paramedic threat

A 36- year- old man has been tagged for acting aggressive­ly and uttering threats of violence in an ambulance.

Thomas Blaikie of Russell Drive in Ayr was taken to hospital on October 1 for concerning cuts to his arm.

Blaikie then kicked off and admitted behaving in a threatenin­g or abusive manner in the ambulance and at Ayr Hospital.

Sheriff Mhari Mactaggart commented his conduct towards people trying to help merited jail time.

As an alternativ­e to custody, he was placed under supervisio­n for 18 months.

Blaikie was also tagged for four months, where he must remain in his home address from 7pm to 7am.
