Workers raise cash in memory of colleague

Workers raised over £ 7000 in memory of their former colleague Susan Hastings who died this year.

William Duncan & Co presented a cheque for £ 7813 to the Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland and £ 15,625 with the rest given to other charities.

It was part of the William Duncan 500 Challenge where a team of four cycled 500 miles in five days from John Groats to Ayr.

Stephen Barage, director of the firm, said : “It was without a doubt the hardest thing our team have attempted both physically and mentally but what kept us going was regularly checking on the donations and the amazing generosity of our clients and friends .”
