Alloway SWI October meeting

-

The October meeting of Alloway SWI took the form of a games night when Fiona Crowe and Helen Bruce jointly organised a version of the Commonwealth Games.

Teams under the banners of Belize, Cyprus, Samoa and Ghana battled against each other by moving ‘ Maltesers’ from box to bowl using paper straws, using racquets to aim shuttles into a box, knocking over skittles with a soft ball and Susan Stuart sat patiently wearing a ‘ head- catcher’ filled with paper cups as attempts were made to throw balls into the cups all to score points for the teams.

It was a good fun evening with lots of laughter.

President June Foreman announced the results and winners’ medals were presented to the Belize Wildcats – June Foreman, Eileen Lindley, Linda Wallace, Christina Kennedy and Elaine Shields.

Best Individual Score medal was won by Maureen McKee and Rhona Wallace received the consolation prize.

June presented flowers in thanks to Fiona and Helen.
