Ramblers walk from Maybole to Maidens

On Sunday, November 11, Ayr & District Rambling Club are organising a pleasant eight- mile walk from Maybole to Maidens on flat terrain.

It starts at Maybole Rail Station and skirts the rim of Penny Glen to access Culzean Estate via a quiet old carriageway.

Culzean Cliff Walk finishes the day at Maidens beach.

Most of the route consists of farm tracks, fields and woodland.

There is some minor road walking.

There are rest facilities/ cafe at the National Trust Visitor Centre half- way through the walk.

To join this walk, please meet at Millbrae car park in Ayr in time to leave for Maidens at 8.45am.

After parking at Maidens, meet at the café at 9.25am, in order to catch the 9.35am bus to Maybole Rail Station.
