Big thank you to baby unit
A Prestwick woman was behind a fundraiser in aid of the Ayrshire Maternity Unit’s Neonatal unit ( NNU).
The event at Craigie Bowling Club was held by Danielle Durrant who raised £ 527.
Danielle’s son Lewis was born at 28 weeks and spent three months in the neonatal unit. Her daughter Caralyn also spent two weeks there when she was born.
Danielle said: “We are forever grateful to the neonatal team for the care our family received when we stayed with them. They do a wonderful job. Thanks to everyone who donated at the fundraiser and a special thanks to Elizabeth and Robert Reid who helped with catering, and also to Gina Cope, Sandra Rorison and Janet McMorris.”
Caroline Blake, clinical midwife manager, added: “We truly appreciate the donation and the sentiment behind it.”
