Ayr GP Jimmy Begg had a vision to save ‘ Robertson’s Field’ from being developed, a real Alloway hot potato.

Dr Begg, now a historian, author and creator of the Ayrshire Coastal Path in retirement, wanted to create a museum of farming and retain most of the pasture. Gladly it didn’t solely housing but Cambusdoon Sports Club.
