Ballantrae

Ballantrae Church will host their Armistice service on Sunday at 11am at the War Memorial.

This will include uniformed groups, who will parade to the church for a service starting at around 11.45 and finishing at 12.30pm.

The service is being conducted by the Rev Whyte, who is assisting during the church’s current vacancy.

Southside

Southside Church are hosting a welcome course starting on Sunday. The course is for anybody new to the church who wants to find out a bit more.

It will run over four Sundays, taking place in the church office immediatel­y after the morning service.

Girvan North

Girvan North Parish Church will hold a Christmas fayre on Saturday, November 17, from 10am- noon with home baking, bric- a- brac and Christmas gifts.

Tarbolton

Tarbolton Parish Church will host a Rememberan­ce service on Sunday.

The all- age service will begin at 9.45am with youth organisati­ons parading, followed by wreath laying at the War Memorial at 10.55am.

In the evening there will be a Joint Remembranc­e service at Annbank Church, with which Tarbolton is linked.

Dalmelling­ton Brass Band and the community choir will perform. Tea and coffee will follow.

New Cumnock

New Cumnock Parish Church will hold an evening of Remembranc­e for WW1 this Friday from 7- 8pm.

St Leonard’s

Church members are going fair trade this Christmas.

Traidcraft autumn fairs willbe held in St Leonard’s Church Hall this Sunday and next.

Foods, chocolates and Christmas baking ingredient­s will be offer and there will be a wide range of crafts from all over the world and plenty of Christmas cards.

Rev Brian Hendrie said: “Buying fairly traded products means that whatever you spend delivers real benefit to producers, their families and their communitie­s.”

The fairs will run from noon to 2pm and entry is free.
