Double defeat

Troon Ladies 1s travelled to the National Hockey Centre in Glasgow to play Rottenrow Bluesox Ladies 1s with a hard fought game ending with a 5- 3 loss for Troon.

On a wild, wet, and windy day, Troon fell two down thanks to quick breaks, only for Rosie Tudor to find the back of the net and keep the game alive.

In end to end play, Rottenrow went 3- 1 up before Amber McCue hit back for Troon just before half time.

But Troon, without substitute­s, started to tire in the second half and the opposition took advantage and using a three quarter press to put pressure on Troon’s defence.

The outcome was a pair of goals for Rottenrow .

Troon continued Tudor secured her second goal of the match.

Ladies 2s welcomed GHK Ladies 3s to Troon, ending as a 5- 2 loss.

Alice Duncan and Sofia Burnham were on target.

Both Troon Ladies teams return to action at home on Saturday, November 10.

Ladies 1s play Glasgow University Ladies 3s ( passback 1: 30pm). Ladies 2s play Glasgow University 4s, ( 3pm).

Ladies 1s also play on Sunday, November 11 ( 1: 30pm, welcoming Dumfries Ladies 1s to Troon for the second round of the West District Cup.
