Blackout is astonishing
ailsa’s security blackout has been branded “astonishing” by a furious Msp.
tory John scott has demanded an immediate probe as it was revealed cameras have been dark for up to 10 years.
He said: “the attack on this health worker at the ailsa Hospital has been a shocking incident and no less shocking has been the news that the CCtV system at the hospital does not work.
“this is extremely worrying since the CCtV system is not only intended for the protection of visitors but also that of staff and patients themselves.
“the fact that it has been out of commission for a number of years is astonishing and we need a aguaranteethatthe guarantee that the system will be brought back into operation at as early a date as possible.
“I have been in touch with NHs ayrshire and arran to seek such a guarantee and to ask them to confirm that all other local NHs sites with CCtV cameras are fully operational.”
