Knife denial

a 51- year- old man who denies brandishing a knife has failed to appear in court.

alexander Mackie, of ardnith avenue in New Cumnock, faces charges of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner and wielding a blade at Keir Hardie Hill on august 25.

Mackie denies the charges of shouting, swearing, uttering threats of violence and brandishing a knife.

His solicitor Robert Logan pled not guilty on his behalf.

But due to his non- attendance at ayr sheriff Court last week, a warrant was issued for Mackie’s arrest.
