Co- op donate funds to deserving causes

The Co- op in Doonfoot was dispersing free cash on Saturday.

It has been raised by 7000 local members and since September 2016 more than £ 100,000 has gone to 49 groups in Ayr.

Customers also shared cake and refreshments as a trio of good causes shared the money.

Ayrshire Cancer Support got £ 4251, South Ayrshire Dementia Support Association £ 4073 and the new Whiteleys Retreat £ 3663.
