All White on the night

It’s taken a huge volunteer effort – but the doors to Whiteleys Retreat are finally open.

And the respite base for families affected by life- altering illnesses is looking every bit as spectacular as promised.

Now charity bosses have thrown open their doors as part of a special thank you to those who made the dream come true.

The event saw some of the Whiteleys therapists, who will work with the home’s families, meet with volunteers who made helped open the base.

Whiteleys CEO, Maxine Allan, said: “We wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for the amazing effort of our many wonderful volunteers.

“And we couldn’t wait to show them the results of their many hours of hard work.”
