Mixed fortunes for Ayr Bowling

It was a busy week for Ayr Indoor Bowling Club as a number of the teams were in tough action throughout the weekend.

Ayr Seniors and Ladies both had comfortable home wins of 90- 46 v Cumbernauld and 69- 36 v Inverclyde respectively.

Both now have away games with the Seniors travelling to Glasgow and Ladies for their return Ayrshire derby at Prestwick where a win could see them move into 2nd place.

The Gents however were at the other end of fortunes suffering a heavy 100- 50 away defeat to a strong Auchinleck team.

Despite being only four shots behind at the halfway stage, the home team turned up the pace and Ayr started haemorrhaging shots.

They now lick their wounds and turn their attention to the next home game which will be against Whiteinch.
