Last orders at Harbour

The old Harbour Bar in Ayr’s North Harbour Street was loved by its regulars. Mine host Gordon Robertson was known as the “fastest barman in the west” and he could serve multiple customers at a time. Like many pubs on the north of the river, the trade dried up. Richard Robinson posted the picture on the Remembering Auld Ayr site and it drew many happy memories. As regular Hugh Dunlop said: “Great pub. Gordon was a character.”
