A lott going on

Richard McMinn represented Troon Allotment Society at Rotary, enthusing about the progress made by the group over ten years. Some growers favour the traditional rotational system, others preferring raised beds.

Delicious fruit and veg both grow with great success, despite occasional damage by rabbits, pigeons, squirrels, Roe deer and even humans. Local school kids benefit by learning that produce doesn’t only come from the supermarket and Dementia Friendly Troon members and others also benefit from the chance of physical activity, sociable companions and environmental awareness.
