Workshop raises dyslexia awareness

-

A workshop was held for parents and pupils as part of Dyslexia Awareness Week.

Pupils from primary five and six at St Johns Primary were visited by Rachel Miller from Dyslexia Scotland and Rossie Stone, director and founder of Dekko Comics.

As part of the workshop that took place on Friday, November 9, youngsters got involved in colouring and creating comic book strips with the help of Rossie.

Rossies company, Dekko Comics, are educational comics that turn school curriculum content into engaging comic strips, “smashing motivational barriers” to reading and learning, including Dyslexia and Autism.
