Breast is best
A school is proving breast is best by backing a feeding campaign for mums.
Ayr Grammar has signed up to the Breastfeed Happily Here scheme.
The project educates businesses, staff and the public on legal rights of mums to feed in public.
Venues display a sticker to let all customers know that breastfeeding in public is protected by law.
Alison Coxon, Deputy Head at Ayr Grammar, said: “We welcome and support breastfeeding mums while on school premises.
“And we hope that other schools in South Ayrshire join the scheme too and help normalise breastfeeding for our children.”
Council chiefs hope to sign up all 50 of their schools in due course.
