Cheeky remark shocked Lesley
Till girl now trim after taking action
She’s well known as the chatty lady on the till at Morrisons in Troon.
But Lesley Millar got a shock one day as she passed messages down her conveyor.
One of her customers told her: “You are fair piling on the weight.”
Lesley was only 11 stone but the barb spurred her into action.
The 46- year- old is now back smiling behind the till at a very slim 8st 12libs
Lesley, who lives in Mauchline, said: “The remark made me feel really self- conscious and embarrassed.
“It made me feel awful and so the next week I joined WW ( formerly Weight Watchers), at the Mauchline Club workshop.
“At my age the weight didn’t fall off, it was slow and steady and I got great support from the Wellness Coach Kellie Brown.”
The superma rk e t favourite revealed she managed to fit back into her little black dress and popped on a bikini at a family wedding in Zante.
Lesley, who got married to Gordon in October, added: “I finally reached my target weight and became a gold member, and now it’s a case of keeping weight off which I am determined to do.
“I now make healthier choices and feel better for it.
“I only have treats on my days off work and keep them within reason. I used to eat big portions with not thought of how much food I was eating, lots of chocolate and puddings which are my downfall.”
