Let’s go rowing in the Firth of Clyde
Rowers were streams ahead in a technique and training event last month.
Girvan Coastal Rowing Club members attended an interesting and enjoyable rowing training weekend in Stranraer. Coastal Rowing Club crews from Annan and Girvan joined Stranraer rowers for an action- packed weekend of games, instruction, discussion - and of course rowing and racing in the beautiful Loch Ryan. This successful weekend was all about improving rowing techniques and learning to be a competent cox.
Stranraer has been announced as the venue for next year’s St Ayles World Championships held in July.
Over 1000 competitors are expected to take part.
GCRC members would like to thank teams from Anstruther, Portobello and Port Seton who guided them through the learning experience.
And thanks also go to Stranraer Coastal Rowing Club members for organising the events.
